Adding Annotations to Videos
Teachers & Students can annotate and comment on specific frames of content in the video.
- From the Post, click on the video.
- The video will open for playback.
- Click on the annotation icon at the top left of the screen:
- Overall comments for the video can be made in the Comments area at the bottom.
- While playing the video, click on + Timeline Marker to begin annotations on that frame.
- A comment box is made available that is specific to the timeline marker and annotation.
- The +1 Frame and -1 Frame options allow you to step between frames in the video.
- The +1 Marker and -1 Marker options allow you to step between the Timeline Markers.
- The Loop Off option is off by default, click to enable the video to loop.
- You can move the video back 10 seconds using the rewind icon:
Viewing Annotations Added to the Video
- From the Harmonize Topic or Assignment page, click on a video containing an annotation.
- You can tell a video contains annotations if you see the comment icon:

- Once the video is opened, the +1 Marker and -1 Marker options move the user between frames that contain annotations so they can easily view them.
- The +1 Frame and -1 Frame options move the user between frames in the video regardless if annotations exist or not.
- The Loop Off option is off by default, click to enable the video to loop.
