The Equation Editor can be accessed when creating a Harmonize Topic, Post, or adding a Comment.

In the Text Editor, click on the Equation Icon to open the Equation Editor.

### There are two modes:

- Simple View: Allows users to type basic math formulas
- Commands may be entered in Simple View using the syntax "\<command>". For example, entering "\sqrt" and pressing the SPACE bar creates a square root equation). See a full list of commands here.

- Advanced Mode: Allows users to write LaTeX commands

- To Insert the equation click Insert Equation
- To Edit the inserted equation, select the equation, then click the equation icon.
